Labor Notes Twin Cities Troublemakers School: Quick Thoughts

Saturday was a very, very good day for the working class of Minnesota. Three hundred plus nurses, Amazon workers, janitors, educators, school bus drivers and working class activists from every sector gathered for Labor Notes Troublemakers School at Metro State University for an all day conference. Dozens of union locals were represented. TCDSA was right in the middle of all of it, helping to plan, staff and lead the event.

Working class leaders got to meet and know each other, got to compare notes and plan how they can support each other in the future. Labor activists talked about how we can collaborate to build real power for all workers in Minnesota. The building of a class struggle wing of the labor movement in Minnesota took an important step forward. And then, of course, there was the after party at East Side Freedom Library with union songs, beer and food.
