Join Twin Cities DSA for our 2018 chapter convention!

Date: Sunday, September 30, 2018
Time: Check in begins at 1:00 p.m.
Meeting runs from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Location: John B. Davis Lecture Hall, Macalester College, Saint Paul, MN (Google Maps)

We’ll be sharing updates on our explosive year in organizing for democratic socialism, voting on resolutions and amendments to our chapter bylaws, and electing new constitutional officers. Members and non-members alike are welcome to attend.

Our annual convention is our largest member meeting and a great opportunity to make sure your voice is heard on matters that will guide the chapter through the coming year.

We hope you can join us to:

elect Steering Committee members
vote on proposed amendments to the bylaws
propose and vote on resolutions
learn about our current work

You can review the meeting packet – which includes the agenda, proposed amendments, proposed resolutions, and a list of those running for steering committee positions – ahead of time by clicking here. The proposed set of revised bylaws, to be presented in September and voted on in November, are available here.

Limited printed copies of the packet will also be available at the sign in table – please help us keep costs low by bringing your own printed copy or by using our digital version if you’re able!

Our annual convention is a highly attended meeting, and check-in lines may get long. To ensure that you’re ready for the meeting to begin at 1:30 p.m., we recommend checking in as soon as possible.

If you recently joined, please bring the confirmation email you received in case you aren’t yet on our membership list.

While our meetings are open to all interested parties, only current dues paying members are able to vote during the meetings. Want to become a member? Our September convention will be held on Macalester’s campus. We have a carpool sign up available here. Please sign up if you need a ride or will be able to offer one.
