Palestine Solidarity

TCDSA voted Palestine Solidarity as one of our chapter’s top three priorities for 2025. In the past year, the Twin Cities movement for Palestinian liberation notched several crucial gains, forcing the passage of ceasefire resolutions in Minneapolis and St. Paul, escalating the fight for divestment on college campuses, and sending the largest Uncommitted delegation in the country to the DNC in Chicago.

These gains all reflect the fact that the movement for a free Palestine is winning. Despite the best efforts of the pro-genocide media and political establishment, opposition to Israel’s apartheid state is becoming a mainstream position across the U.S.

In the next year, we will channel this momentum into sustained long-term divestment campaigns in the model of the South African Anti-Apartheid Movement. By targeting the economic institutions that currently fund the genocide of the Palestinian people, we will cripple the Zionist state and end the occupation of Palestine.

No Appetite for Apartheid: An ongoing TCDSA-led campaign to support the global BDS movement and begin to extract the Twin Cities’ local economy from support for apartheid.

Cut the Contract!: A TCDSA-supported campaign to get the Minneapolis City Council to end their contract with the Israeli surveillance company ZenCity, which is currently being payed to collect information on Minneapolis residents.
