Twin Cities DSA Little Red Letter #87: Organizing after Roe

Comrades, we have been seeing it for years, but have felt it especially deeply the past few weeks – it is clear that the right wing is going for it. They have been strategically building to take power for a very long time, and we are seeing more clearly than ever the possibility of fascism in the US. We do not take this lightly. We know that national Democratic Party leadership does not have a plan to stop it, and they are more afraid of working people mobilizing than they are of the right. What gives us hope is that there are so many signs of a reawakening working class movement here as well. We need to step into that, to take cues from history as well as active socialist movements from around the world, and graduate to the major leagues. We need to be thinking about how to move millions to organizing for unions, abortion, and against climate change. We cannot let that energy be coopted and neutralized into the status quo by the current system. We need to sharpen our analysis and act collectively. We need you!
