Twin Cities DSA recognizes that living under capitalism sucks. Sometimes we all need help, and sometimes we can help others. The Solidarity Fund is a wealth redistribution tool. Please ask for help if you need it, and when you don’t, please donate what you can.
The TCDSA Solidarity Fund Working Group administers the Ezra Ishman Solidarity Fund, which puts money in the pockets of TCDSA members or their friends and family during times of need. TCDSA members may apply for a grant of up to $200 for themselves or on behalf of friends or family.

TCDSA members can find the application link in the #solidarityfund channel on Slack, or by asking a member of the Steering Committee or the working group. If you don’t have access to the chapter Slack you may request it here. |
You can also donate cash. Just find a MASE Working Group member at the next General Membership meeting |
This Fund is modeled on a similar fund organized and administered successfully by the DSA Santa Fe chapter; we are grateful to comrade Ken Baumann for his guidance in creating our chapter’s fund. To learn how to roll your own solidarity fund, read our guide here.
In June 2021, the members of Twin Cities DSA voted to rename the solidarity fund in honor of our late comrade Ezra Ishman, who was the TCDSA treasurer.
